Forecast was for an inch, soon to melt off

A brave, or foolish, magpie looks for a meal.

I’m just really impressed that it built up as it did. Evan a little breeze will tip snow this deep over. Evidently, it was a really calm night.

Thirteen and a half inches of very heavy, wet snow. Pretty, though. And we’re always glad for the moisture.

  1. Those are great pictures, Amy! I especially love the magpie at that feeder. Wasn’t the sunshine today so wonderful?

    1. P.S. I just clicked on “Amy Law” associated with the comment you left me and it took me to your old site rather than to here.

  2. Thanks, Tracy! I’ve been on WordPress for years and still get lost in the settings. But I think I fixed the problem.

  3. Such a winter wonderland of snow accumulation! Beautiful pics, Amy. I think we only received about half of that, maybe 6 inches or so but I’m not displeased. Wonder what this Saturday’s storm will bring to the metro?

  4. If we get precipitation, I want it to be snow. Rain in February is an abomination. And a sign of climate change and I don’t want to deal with that — not now, not ever. At least I want to postpone it as long as possible.

  5. The magpie in the snow is quite the sight for this East Coaster.
