The weather the last few days has been rotten — hovering right around freezing, enough snow to break branches off trees that thought it was spring, for crying out loud, and put out leaves.

The cold and wet has driven lots of birds to our feeders, too. This is one I have never recognized in our yard before — a Say’s Phoebe.

All fluffed out to keep warm. What the heck is up with this…ahem…spring?

I keep telling myself that the we’ll be grateful for the water come July. But I would like to be able to wear something besides my down coat before June.
It does bring the birds to the feeders, though!
