DRAFT Thinking Differently — Big Picture

Is it too upsetting to see Zara fail again? It’s a common situation for people with dyslexia, and I don’t want to trigger anybody. But we need to see her fail to see her succeed later.

  1. Wow, Amy. You’ve completed so much. Apologies if it’s obvious, but is there a way to click on these images to enlarge? My eyes can’t read what’s there. Either way, congratulations on your progress!

    1. Thanks so much for your enthusiasm! Once I got the hang of doing the drawings it was fun.
I am sorry that the posts aren’t bigger. I’ve tried to figure out how to enlarge them in WordPress, but with only limited success. For Windows products, you can press control + to enlarge the entire page. For Apple, I found these instructions:
Choose Apple menu > System Settings, click Accessibility in the sidebar, then click Zoom on the right. (You may need to scroll down.)

Turn on “Use keyboard shortcuts to zoom.”

      Do any of the following:

      Zoom in: Press Option-Command-Equals (=).

      Zoom out: Press Option-Command-Minus (-).

Quickly switch between zoomed in and zoomed out: Press Option-Command-8.

      1. I was away from WordPress, Amy, but will try this to see if it enbiggens your images. I’m so glad you had fun making your drawings! Congratulations on the project. 🙂

      2. HA! Of course that worked and now I can see your images. I love what you’re doing here and especially enjoy how you inserted stock images into the drawings. That gives them another dimension. I also love the two brain hemispheres and the weight being lifted in each. Wow, you’ve accomplished a lot. Hooray!

  2. I can’t help but suspect the real challenge is how educators respond to dyslexics more than anything else.
