DRAFT When Reading Went Wrong

I had a good time drawing this section — perhaps too good a time. Do I get too cute? Do you understand what is going on in each panel?

I also traced some things — Malik’s head in the first frame is a good example. I needed to be able to zoom in on his eye. I didn’t continue this style because it is really beyond my abilities as an artist.

      I’m so glad you found it interesting! Dyslexics mostly have one problem — reading! They are fine at most other things, and possibly better at a few critically important areas that I’ll look at later in the book. But thanks, as always, for your encouraging feedback, Monika.

    I love this Amy! You did a brilliant job of sharing complex information in a fun, understandable way. I love the panels with the photos merged with the comics too. I haven’t seen that before, and it gives a cool effect. Thank you so much for sharing.

      I’m so glad you like it! As I said, once I figured it out, this was a fun section to do.
      Putting photos into the panels was a technique born of desperation — I just couldn’t draw a lot of what I needed to show. But I do like it, too! We’ll see what the illustrator and editor say about it, whenever I find them. 😉
